Self-insured employers continue to face the pressures of mounting healthcare costs, lingering economic uncertainties and increasingly complex reimbursement rules. Although these self-funded plans are
exempt from several aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), most of the provisions of healthcare reform will still apply.
